Privacy Policy
Game “Mari Word Search” («Мари филворд»; Android ru.pirogovlab.marifilword, Yandex Games, web version), a PirogovLab project. Revision of 20 October 2026.
Summary
- No registration or account is needed. The developer does not collect your personal data.
- The common leaderboard is optional: only if you enter a nickname yourself, PirogovLab’s server stores that nickname and your points, which are visible to other players. Without a nickname nothing is sent.
- Progress (levels, coins, found words) is stored on your device, and on Yandex Games also in Yandex cloud saves.
- Ads in the Android app and on Yandex Games are served by Yandex services, which process technical data under their own policies.
Scope
The word-search game “Mari Word Search” by PirogovLab (developer: Mikhail Pirogov): the Android app ru.pirogovlab.marifilword (RuStore, Google Play and other stores, APK), the Yandex Games version and the web version on pirogovlab.ru.
Data stored by the game
Only game data: completed levels per difficulty, found and bonus words, coins, hints, tutorial status. It is kept in app storage or browser localStorage on your device and is not sent to the developer, except for the optional leaderboard. Dictionaries are built in; levels work offline.
Common leaderboard
The web and Android versions have a common leaderboard (🏆). Participation starts only when you enter a nickname. Then PirogovLab’s server (pirogovlab.ru, Russia) receives and stores: your nickname (2–16 characters, offensive names are rejected); a random player ID and secret key generated on your device (the key is stored only as a hash) — not linked to your name, phone or account; your points (total and this week) and number of completed levels.
Nickname and points are visible to all players. To prevent abuse the server rate-limits requests and keeps a hash of the IP address (not the address) for up to one hour. You can delete your nickname and results with “Удалить меня из таблицы” (Remove me) in the leaderboard window or by contacting us. The data is not shared with third parties or used for advertising.
Yandex Games
On Yandex Games the game uses the Yandex Games SDK (Yandex LLC); the leaderboard is the platform’s built-in one (nothing is sent to PirogovLab). If you are signed in with Yandex ID, progress may be saved in the Yandex cloud and your profile name and avatar may appear in the leaderboard according to your platform settings. Ads (interstitial, rewarded, sticky banner) are shown by the platform. Yandex processes this data under the Yandex Games Terms of Use and Yandex Privacy Policy.
Ads in the Android app
The app shows Yandex Advertising Network ads via the Yandex Mobile Ads SDK (Yandex LLC, includes AppMetrica components): a bottom banner, interstitials after some levels (at most once per 2.5 minutes) and rewarded ads you start yourself (free hint). To serve, select and measure ads and prevent fraud, the SDK may process the advertising ID (AD_ID permission), device and OS info (model, Android version, language, screen), network info (connection type, carrier, IP address → approximate region) and ad impression/interaction data. This data is processed by Yandex, not by the developer, under the Yandex Privacy Policy. You can reset the advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation in Android settings. Offline the game works fully and no ads load.
Web version on pirogovlab.ru
No ads. Anonymous traffic statistics use Yandex Metrica (cookies, browser/device info, IP address, page interactions) under the Yandex Privacy Policy; you can block it in your browser and the game still works. Like any site, the server keeps standard technical request logs for operation and security.
Android permissions
Internet and network state — ads and leaderboard; AD_ID — advertising ID for Yandex Mobile Ads; vibration — light feedback when selecting letters. No access to contacts, camera, microphone, location or files.
Children
The content is suitable for all ages (0+), but the game is not specifically directed at children and the developer does not knowingly collect children’s data.
Deletion
Uninstall the app or clear site data to delete progress. Yandex cloud saves are managed in your Yandex ID. The only data held by the developer is the optional leaderboard entry — removed by “Remove me” or on request.
